Projects that caught our Eye in 2014

In no particular order,below are the projects that caught our attention in 2014... and the reasons why...Enjoy

 First off is Tuzo za Watu,its the first general awards (besides Kili Awards,of course) that took place this year giving a chance for the public to nominate and vote for their choices. To many,this was an alternative to those categories that people were not very happy with at Kili awards...I don't agree,cause i believe this is People's Choice Awards giving more opportunities to Tanzanians achievers to be celebrated..

 Second is the Hassan Maajar Trust Fund,an initiative that keep uplifting Tanzanian pupils from the floor onto descent desks. We are proud supporters of this initiative

While Hassan Maajar Trust Fund keep the children on school desks, the Flaviana Matata Foundation provides them with essential school items like bags,exercise books,pencils etc. In 2014,the foundation impacted thousands of Tanzanian children in coastal regions.

This is the most trending project of 2014...The Nyamachoma Festival as created and organized by Carol Ndossy and her team. And when it moved beyond borders to Rwanda and Uganda,we are hooked!

 Jokes aside,Diva Giving For Charity is one project that kept growing throughout 2014. Keep doing what you do,Diva

 Coming to Alaska...OMG! Jennifer Bash has proven that all is possible! We started by buying the Alaska eggs and now she added rice and more to come. 2014 has been a great year for Alaska Tanzania

 This is a special recognition to Khadija Mwanamboka,a fashion designer who hosts a number of orphans who are HIV+, who turned into an entrepreneur on agriculture produce and now owns the VVK organic food restaurant and shopping centre... ooh dear!

Last but surely not least,is Nelwa's Gelato,an ice cream brand by Ms Mercy. She started small and now she sells ice cream in all Nyama Choma Festivals,Fiesta music concerts and more...

One thing you might have noticed,all the above initiatives have been started and are run by Ladies of Tanzania! I applaud you all, Keep Inspiring

M.P Male Style Icon of 2014- Naseeb a.k.a Diamond Platinumz

This part was a hard choice! With many Male celebs changing their wardrobe in 2014,who to pick for this title?! Well,after a considerable amount of time pondering and reviewing,Diamond took the title.

We are not going to look back to Diamond's colourful matchy matchy outfits of 2010,because we already talked about those,last year...This time we look at style highlights of this Tanzanian star,and why we think he makes it to the M.P Male Style Icon of 2014

 Remember these stripped pants?! Watu waliongea hadi povu likatoka but heey...it was a well taken risk and we applaud Diamond for always trying something trendy and new...Our Style-Stalking for Diamond started when he got a chance to perform at Big Brother Africa and for the first time we didnt see too much matchy matchy colors all over,see the below...

 To M.P,this was the birth of a new style icon and we got intrigued from there on...

 He rocked African Prints,Arabian styles,Pop styles ..you name it!

 Even when went back to 1800's and wore a leather skirt,we liked the look!

 A style icon to M.P is that person who rocks trends and defines his own style within the trends...at the same time,influencing those around him/her to try their style...And that is exactly what Naseeb a.k.a Diamond has done throughout 2014

 How many young males in Tanzania have knocked on Sheria Ngowi's doors after Diamond started to wear his suits?! And for those who could not afford Sheria,we see the imitations from Fundi Juma :))

All in all, this young man has secured the top seat on M.P Male Style Icon of 2014 and we gladly crown him that title...

 Tanzanian beauty who relocated to the US after her marriage,the amazing Teddy Kalonga,has proven that not only did she shine at home,the torch still burns bright even where she relocated to. Teddy has been seen in various photoshoots even when she was pregnant, and was featured in various health magazines!

 This week,she appeared in yet another campaign for health issues,which involved JLo among others

MSHINDI WA PILI WA MISS UNIVERSE TANZANIA 2014 NDIYE ATAIWAKILISHA NCHI MASHINDANO YA KIMATAIFA 

Kamati ya Miss Universe Tanzania imemteua mshindi wa pili wa Miss Universe 2014, Nale Boniface kwenda kuiwakilisha nchi katika mashindano ya kimataifa  ya Miss Universe yatakayofanyika mwanzoni mwa mwezi wa kwa kwanza 2015 Miami, Marekani.

Hatua hii imechukuliwa baada ya mshindi husika Miss Universe Tanzania 2014,  Carolyne Bernard kupata ajali na kuvunjika kidole chake cha mguu. Ripoti ya daktari imeonyesha kuwa kupona kwake kutachukua mwezi mmoja wakati mrembo anatakiwa awe mashindanoni baada ya siku kumi kuanzia sasa. Isitoshe awapo mashindanoni mrembo atapaswa kuvaa viatu virefu (High heels) wakati wote ambapo haishauriwi kiafya kutokana na tatizo lake.

Hivyo kutokana na hali hii, Nale Boniface ambaye alishika nafasi ya pili na aliwakilisha Tanzania katika mashindano ya Miss Earth ndiye atakayekwenda kuiwakilisha nchi badala yake kama mkataba unavyoainisha na hivyo atakuwa Miss Universe Tanzania 2014.

Kamati inasikitishwa na kuumia kwa Carolyne na inaahidi kuendelea kuwa nae bega kwa bega katika matibabu yake kwani bado yupo chini ya mkataba wa Miss Universe Tanzania kwa mwaka mzima.

Mashindano ya Miss Universe Tanzania mwaka huu yalifanyika tarehe 31 mwezi wa Kumi na yalidhaminiwa na  Insignia, Golden Tulip, Compass Communications, AzH Photography, Adams Digicom, Opulence, Seif Kabelele Blog , Missie Popular blog, Urban Rose Hotel, na New York Film Academy.
